Pantalla Verde
Dado el auge que está tomando el uso del Chroma Key en las escuelas, vamos a hacer una página exclusiva de esta interesante herramienta. Aunque las están colocando en todas las Aulas del Futuro, el Chroma Key es tan económico (con solo 10 € ya tienes un Chroma en tu propia clase) que es muy conveniente tener una instalación fija en cada aula “lista para servir”.
No olvidemos que con el Chroma Key los alumnos pueden aprender todas las destrezas del lenguaje:
Escribir: Ya que los alumnos investigan en internet y crean sus propios textos e imágenes
Hablar: Exponiendo ante la cámara lo que ellos han investigado y escrito previamente.
Leer: En el teleprompter sus textos, ajustando tanto la velocidad lectora como el tamaño de la letra.
Escuchar: Cuando un compañero está grabando, otros alumnos estan tomando otros roles activos, como director, claqueta, control de teleprompter, etc, con lo que han de escuchar a sus compañeros. Y luego, visualizando los videos creados.
Obviamente, a parte de la tela (TNT, Tela no Tela, se llama) necesitamos en el aula, un portatil, una pantalla auxiliar (la pizarra electrónica) y una webcam (con una resolución XGA, vamos, de las moderna). Toda esta equipación la tenemos ya en todas las aulas de Extremadura, no se como están en el resto del mundo. La iluminación nos sirve la del techo.

Given the popularity of Chroma Key in schools, we are going to create a dedicated page for this interesting tool. Although they are being installed in all the Classrooms of the Future, Chroma Key is so cheap (for just $13 you can have a Chroma in your own classroom) that it is very convenient to have a permanent installation in each classroom “ready to use”.
Let’s not forget that with Chroma Key students can learn all the language skills:
Writing: Since students research on the Internet and create their own texts and images
Speaking: Presenting in front of the camera what they have previously researched and written.
Reading: On the teleprompter their texts, adjusting both the reading speed and the size of the letter.
Listening: When a classmate is recording, other students are taking on other active roles, such as director, clapperboard, teleprompter control, etc., so they have to listen to their classmates. And then, viewing the videos created.
Obviously, apart from the fabric (TNT, Non-Fabric Fabric, it is called in Spain) we need a laptop, an auxiliary screen (the electronic board) and a webcam (with XGA resolution, in other words, one of the modern ones) in the classroom. We already have all this equipment in all the classrooms in Extremadura, I don’t know what they are like in the rest of the world. The lighting on the ceiling is enough for us.
